Watch ARNOLD for free on Youtube or buy the gorgeous new Blu-Ray from Vinegar Syndrome. Say goodbye to ScreamQueenz with ARNOLD, a delightfully bizarre but tragically forgotten horror comedy of 1973. In the first five minutes of ARNOLD, a gold-digging flight attendant marries a corpse...and that's the least weird thing that happens for the rest of the movie. It's the kind of movie that makes you ask, "Are the straights ok???" ARNOLD combines classic Gothic horror elements like a creepy ...

This episode, we're taking on a real brain-bender: the French film "Titane"'; a whirlwind of sex, death, cars, and a whole heap of existential questions. The movie is a tough cookie, but MAYA MURPHY and I here to break it down and make it all a bit simpler for you. Together we’ll explore the layers of this challenging but rewarding yet deeply f***ed up film. Trust me, there’s more than just the hyperviolence, graphic nudity and car sex surface to uncover. So buckle up, because we’re about ...

"You can fool everybody, but landy deary me, you can't fool a cat!" Irena, a lonely young Serbian immigrant, believes she is descended from a tribe of shape-shifting witches and fears that any physical intimacy will change her into a killer jungle cat. Irena can run. Irena can hide. But she cannot deny the Beast Inside. CAT PEOPLE somehow managed to tell a clearly queer-coded tale of forbidden desires and unspeakable passions at the height of Hayes Code Production censorship, and we are thrilled...

In UNCLE PECKERHEAD (currently streaming on Prime, Hulu, Sling TV and The Roku Channel), a fledging punk band starting out on their first tour discovers their new hot Southern daddy roadie is also a man-eating...thing....

If you enjoyed this episode, say THANK YOU and SUPPORT THE SHOW with a one-time donation at bit.ly/sqthankyou What starts as an idyllic trip to the Canadian wilderness for two women celebrating their first wedding anniversary turns into a brutal battle for survival where no one is who they seem to be in WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE. If you enjoyed this episode, say THANK YOU and SUPPORT THE SHOW with a one-time donation at bit.ly/sqthankyou ***** You know how I love a movie full of rich obnoxious jerks who are all secretly trying to murder each other so they can inherit a mountain of money? It's the story of rich spoiled egotistical George and his...

As proof that ScreamQueenz has not podfaded, please accept the Flashback to one of the most popular and beloved of our classic episodes: that time TRAE DEAN and DOUG SHAPIRO dropped by to discuss the gayest Agatha Christie murder mystery of all, EVIL UNDER THE SUN. EVIL UNDER THE SUN is currently available for streaming on BRITBOX and for rental from all the usual sources. Note: This episode was recorded 13 years ago. I was a lot coarser and less sensitive than I am now. I apologize for my off...

ATTACHMENT is an extraordinary film in which clashing Danish, British and Jewish Haredi cultures combine to tell a love story most queer: A story of Mothers and Daughters, of Daughters and Lovers, and of the Ancient Evil that wants to consume them all. To discuss this most unusual film I needed the most fabulous of guests, so I am delighted to be joined by ALYSSA SIMON (Moosehead Over the Mantel, They Will Outlive Us All) and CHRYSTEN PEDDIE (Killing Your Darlings). ATTACHMENT is ...

Get ready for a far-out flight to the grooviest decade ever when IT CAME FROM THE 70's takes over ScreamQueenz Studios to talk about everyone's favorite shameless CARRIE ripoff: the 1978 made-for-tv exercise in coded lesbianism and petty revenge known as THE INITIATION OF SARAH. There's something about this movie. It's a not-particularly scary carbon copy of the "Awkard Girl With Secret Powers Get Revenge" trope. By all rights, it should have been forgotten a long time ago. But it wasn't. A...

"I'd understand it a lot more if there were a lot more queer bashing and bible-thumping..." On the surface, the movie Blumhouse's THEY/THEM had everything going for it: A slasher film with a novel queer conversion camp setting. Three-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan at the helm. Kevin Bacon's return to his horror roots. Queer characters actually played by queer actors. With a built-in audience, undeniable talent, and seemingly the best intentions, THEY/THEM seem poised to take Q...

Three young Evangelical movie users find a strange unmarked roll of film in the theater's basement. Thinking it might be porn, they screen the movie and accidentally unleash a bloodthirsty succubus. But in order to survive, they must not only conquer the demon they released but also the demons they hide within themselves. Despite the provocative title, PORNO (2019) isn't really about explicit nudity, sex and exploitation. At its core, it's a surprisingly thoughtful morality play about faith and ...

Halloween may be over, but the horrific hijinx continue with the delightful vampire comedy I HAD A BLOODY GOOD TIME AT HOUSE HARKER (2016).
