"Bad Wigs and Chimney Monsters!" - DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (1973)

For this ScreamQueenz Summer Bonus Episode, this Patreon-exclusive episode of IT CAME FROM THE 70's has been made public for your enjoyment.

Welcome aboard Polyester Time Traveling Airlines non-stop flight to October 10, 1973; the night DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK premiered as the ABC Movie of the Week.

This is one of the Big Ones!

A Classic!

If people remember ONE 1970's made-for-tv horror movie, it's usually this one!

An entire generation of TV-watching children was scarred for LIFE by this chilling tale of a lonely housewife terrorized by tiny whispering creatures dwelling in her fireplace.

To handle a journey this fraught with peril, I needed a copilot with nerves of steel.

But he was busy.

So I got TOPPIE SMELLIE from THE SMELLCAST.

Expect turbulence, unhappy endings and truly unfortunate wigs.

DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK is currently available to stream for free on Dailymotion.

Directed by John Newland. Written by Nigel McKeand. Starring Kim Darby, Jim Hutton, Barbara Anderson and William Demarest.
